The 9th Bodø International Organ Festival (BIOF) will take place in Bodoe from 21th to 26th April 2010.

Bodoe International Organ Festival (BIOF) is a professional and social meeting place for church musicians and organists of all ages from home and abroad. The festival is also a meeting place and a concert arena for the local audience and music environment. BIOF keeps a high artistic level in both the concerts and courses that is held during this 5-day festival.

BIOF is a result of the strong academic environment as well as the church investments as the years have been made both in the Bodoe churches and in the instrument park.
It all started with a series of concerts and events with the name "Roenvik Organ Festival" in conjunction with the initiation of new organ in Roenvik Church on the 17th March 2002 and was the autumn 2002 established as Bodoe International Organ Festival.
From 2003 to 2009 the festival has evolved both in scope and use of the organs and churches in Bodoe, and keyboard events / rythmic concerts in other venues in the town.

Contact with education communities have developed into an important part of the festival. From 2003 it has been held masterclasses, courses and workshops with international artists and teachers.
